I was responding to someone who thought that being on an advisory board was some sort of commercial interest.

I have no idea what you are on about, but a chemical company with a product like this would obviously want someone like Clark on the board. But it's not as if there is any large compensation other than a flat fee and meeting expenses.

...but I can't think of too many annual corporate retreats in Akron. You make it seem as if going somewhere nice is some sort of big honking deal. A thousand dollar air ticket and a $250 a night room is not some sort of bank busting perk. Tahiti is a nice place to visit. And, yes, they have meeting facilities.
