Tough job to defend Saddam: Marsden

Australian lawyer John Marsden admits he will have a tough job defending Saddam Hussein.
But the Sydney solicitor, who has been asked to join the legal team representing the former Iraqi dictator, is used to defending high-profile clients such as notorious backpacker killer Ivan Milat.
"It's well known that I have defended people such as Ivan Milat and other people and I will continue to defend people because everyone's entitled to a lawyer," he told ABC radio.
Mr Marsden, who is recuperating at his Sydney home following cancertreatment, received a call from Saddam's UK-based lawyer Giovanni Di Stefano, asking him to join the legal team.
He is under no illusions about the task ahead and said it would be very difficult to mount a defence for Saddam.
