They're the ones that share in the profits, they should absorb the losses as well.

2. We're already paying for one that will probably never be built.
I was one of the original plaintiffs in the lawsuit to stop the charges and refund our money. We lost, but the attorneys filed another suit with different plaintiffs.

The shareholders have the responsibility to bear the cost of their investment, not the rate payers.

3. ALL NUCLEAR POWER IS TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED
It's true. The liabilities are too extreme for private companies to cover it.
