Wall Street Occupiers twice as popular as TeaBaggers - Time magazine poll
http://patdollard.com/2011/10/time-magazine-poll-occupy-movement-is-twice-as-popular-as-the-tea-party/

The demonstrations against big banks has a 54% favorability rating compared to the conservative group’s 27%, according to a new Time magazine poll.

A sizable number – 23% – said they didn’t know enough about the Wall St. protesters to make a decision.

In contrast, 23% said they had a negative opinion of Occupy Wall Street compared to 65% who said the Tea Party’s influence has been negative or negligible.

The poll also asked how many would favor increasing the income tax on those making a million dollars a year and more... 73% favored this, 23% did not favor it.

Asked if raising income taxes on hurt the recovery, 74% said it would not, 21% said it would.

(note the so called increase of income taxes on those making more than a million dollars a year would actually just return those people to the rates they paid PRIOR TO THE BUSH TAX CUTS WHICH HELPED CREATE THE TRICKLE DOWN DISASTER (AND CONTRIBUTED SIGNIIFICANTLY TO THE PUBLIC DEBT SITUATION) WE'RE STILL TRYING TO RECOVER FROM.

from the Time magazine poll:

Q18. WOULD YOU FAVOR OR OPPOSE RAISING TAXES ON PEOPLE WITH ANNUAL INCOMES OF A MILLION DOLLARS OR MORE TO HELP CUT THE FEDERAL DEFICIT?

FAVOR 73%

OPPOSE 23%

NO ANSWER/DON’T KNOW 4%

Q19. IF THE GOVERNMENT DID RAISE TAXES ON PEOPLE EARNING A MILLION DOLLARS OR MORE, WOULD THIS HURT THE ECONOMIC RECOVERY, OR NOT?

WOULD HURT THE ECONOMIC RECOVERY 21%

WOULD NOT 74%

NO ANSWER/DON’T KNOW 5%

2. Time magazine is the problem
if the newsmedia did their job, then the entire fascist bent western society has gone on since 1917 would never have happened. The WW1 and WW2 generations SAW first hand how effective collective actions worked (see 'New Deal'and GI Bill, Marshal plan etc); and ever since, in a very well streamed operation conducted by the rightwing elites who ran our countries medias (featuring william Shirer's 'rise and Fall of 3rd Reich, and Robert Massey's 'Nicholas and alexandra' and the bullshit cranked out by robert Conquest etc- all which demonised the worker Revolution and made the USSR 'evil") have been playing ketchup....The pigmedia have been lying outright for generations, and they are getting everybody into a situation where dingbats like reagan bush palin and the santorum goofball etc are the ONLY alternatives to corporate agents like Barack O'bama!

5. Do you REALLY want to know the answer to that?
When I was a kid, my mother became extremely ill for a time. A kind-hearted neighbor moved in for a time to help.
I believe the woman may have been somewhat mentally retarded, through observation and speculation
by many. Anyway, she once told my older brother that she could barely wait to go to the voting
booth (yes, those old curtained booths with the levered machinery) to "push all them pretty buttons."

Those were her exact words, lo those many moons ago ... I kid you not.

So yeah, I think those *don't know* people vote, too. :scared:
