It's December 8, 1941 - the day after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor - and President Roosevelt announces we're going to war with China because it poses an imminent threat to American security.
Congress buys into it, we invade, and our troops are tied up there for years. And folks who don't see the wisdom of this pre-emptive strike have their patriotism questioned.
That's what the Iraq war feels like to me.
You lump that in with job losses, record deficits, high gas prices, security leaks, corporate scandals, and I'm wondering why President Bush is close to 50 percent in the polls.<snip>
And it's not just the old people being scanned. There are kids as young as 3 and 4.<snip>
