My LTTE to Wash Post

Don't know if they'll publish it, but here it is:

Vice President Dick Cheney in a speech in Dayton, Ohio, ridiculed Senator John Kerry's use of the word "sensitive" in a speech Kerry made before the Unity 2004 conference. Lynne Cheney, at an event in Joplin, Missouri, also commented on Kerry's speech to Unity 2004, saying, "With all due respect to the senator, it just sounded so foolish."

What Senator Kery said was, "I believe I can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on terror that reaches out to other nations and brings them to our side." I'm certain that Vice President and Mrs. Cheney are well aware of the true meaning of Kerry's words, and do not actually find the idea of increasing cooperation with other nations in the war on terror foolish.

It is an insult to the office of the President that the Bush/Cheney campaign spends more effort on finding opposition quotes to pull out of context and ridicule than they do on addressing real issues.

I can't help but constantly remind myself that four years ago I fooled myself into thinking "Thank God - At least Bush picked an ADULT like Cheney to assist him if he wins". Cheney has shown himself to be a snarling hateful man ever since - how fooled I was.

like, Cheney is incapable of comprehending a more sensitive war on terror. All he and the Texecutioner understand is brutality. Their Bush/Cheney way of winning the War on Terror is by increasing their body count of insurgents. yadda yadda yadda...
because the best part about getting a LTTE in is seeing pissed off conservatives writing back for days on end! :evilgrin:

My goal in writing LTTEs is to get my point published, not to just blow off steam. I guess that's what DU is for.

5. try this one for sarcasm - "I think Cheney's getting senile"

when Kerry mentioned sensitive to our allies, Cheney probably heard "al Qaeda" in his head instead of "allies"
