| In Guardian Unlimited: Rambling Kerry Gets Himself Lost |
|
IF Bush is ahead in the polls, it's not because of a surge of support for Bush but an increase in doubt for Kerry. Get it together now! < http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/comment/story/0,14259,1306886,00.html>

He is getting it together. The RNC only two weeks ago, and it historically takes two weeks until a convention bounce fades. Bush's is already dying.

But I don't feel Kerry is above criticism. He really does need to dumb down his message into soundbites. And I still question a campagin whose main advisor is 0-7. I sure wouldn't hire anyone who is 0-7.

(The royal "you", not you, DuaneBidoux!)
Part of the reason I've been a John Kerry supporter since last year is because he can be damn riveting. His themes are all the more powerful because they are developed ideas, not Freeper mucus that can be discharged in 3 words.
But this Guardian guy is delivering all the right tropes. Actually, comparing him to Gore is a new one. One of the few legitimate raps on Kerry is that what sounds like a sensible cadence to us New Englanders sounds fast (and therefore less than honest) in the rest of the country. Nobody ever confused Al Gore with trying to catch a subway.
Repeat 1,000 times: "Kerry bores the public," "Kerry wanders all over the place," and yuppers, we'll get Four Moran Years! I can't stand it when people say things that are either phonus bolognus or just plain ain't so.
