Women are finding new roles in government around the globe

President Bush proved again last week that he's not afraid to surround himself with powerful women, choosing Harriet Miers as his chief counsel, Margaret Spellings as head of the Education Department and Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State. Rice leads the eye-popping list of ladies at the top as the first African-American woman to hold that title. But some of the surprising examples of the glass ceiling cracking can be found in faraway places, miles from Washington.........

1. Define "Powerful"

To say Condi is powerful is like saying Bush is compassionate--it's just empty words or blatant sarcasm.

Condi and Bush have a symbiotic relationship--she leaches off his access to power, he uses her as camouflage (a twofer, no less). If they also engage in inappropriate relations, as might be inferred by the bizarre way they behave in public, they do so with the blessings of the zombies that support them, including Mrs. Bush.

The only power is power over the mindless--abuse of power, no less, a purely disgusting "ugly American" practice, as we understand "good American" to be defined as something quite different.
