On Eve of Bush's Inauguration, Challenges Continue
While a two-hour debate raged on the floors of the U.S. House and Senate over the certification of the presidential election, more than 400 activists waited outside to learn which of their leaders would join their cause.

Under an overcast sky, the Rev. Jesse Jackson told the activists - still refusing to accept the results of the November election - not to be bitter. As he spoke, many of them wept, because for some, the anger over what they refer to as "the stolen election" is precisely what won't let them let go.

It has been more than two months since President Bush declared victory. But the activists who assembled Thursday in Washington, D.C., and countless others across the country say they refuse to concede and have made investigating voter irregularities in Ohio their top priority - sometimes forsaking their livelihood or former selves.

1. Yep. That is exactly how I felt when I heard it on the radio....

"You know that feeling when you're in a relationship, and you know in your soul that someone has been cheating on you?" she said, remembering that moment in the airport terminal. "That's how I felt. I knew something was terribly wrong."

My heart stopped...and then I felt it sink into my stomach.

3. For me, it was more like dealing with a death of a loved one.

It was too obvious Kerry was winning. The media had begun to turn around slightly, acting as though they'd better change courses. The huge, huge Kerry rallies vs. WhatsHisFace's meager, loyalists-only rallies. The best of the best political pollsters predicting a Kerry win (by the same margin as WhatsHisFace's current approval ratings, I might add).

That is exactly how I felt...and still feel. Except for romantic disappointments, the last time I felt this way was the day Lennon was assassinated. That pit of your stomach ache that is there all of the time, a constant reminder of your hopes and dreams for the future.

2. What I am amazed by is that this was in The Plain Dealer, which

published that racist drivel quoted as "evidence" by DeWine and Voinovich.

That is a really good sign.

5. We won, it was not Kerry's to concede, it will never be over for me

this is the evidence to me that we do not live in a Democracy but something far more evil then that has taken over this country, a evil so dark that I am afraid we may not survive it. But we must find a way out of this darkness or all will be lost, we must form our own "fellowship of the vote" and we must win the small battles until the war is declared with us in victory.

7. Number one: we should let everyone know GWB did not win.

Number two: we MUST get a paper trail. Number three: we must continue to fight in Ohio and then go for Florida and the other false voting regimes. People have to go to jail. THIS IS TREASON.
