Poll question: Is the election over?

Like a lot of you I've been concerned about some of the diebold information that has been dug up (althoug I initially phoo phooed it). Also, like many of you, I'm not entirely trusting of the good will of the Bush Administration. The question is, however, what are the implications of thise ideas?

1. I was split between 2 and 3.

I am not absolutely convinced the election will be rigged, but I believe it is a serious possibility. We have to make the number so grotesque that they cannot get away with stealing it.

3. The election rigging goes WAY beyond Diebold

The DLC has delivered a candidate who can't possibly win. But then, 1994, 2000, and 2002 proved that winning was never the DLC's primary concern. Destroying the party from within is.

The election is over yep. You didn't expect there would actually be a real one did ya? Bush is history. To be replaced by a kinder and gentler elite agenda pushing servant. So there you have it, #1. Flame away.

You will not get any flames from me. I think you may be right. I know this sounds crazy, but let us assume just for the sake of argument that Bush and Kerry are part of a common elite group. I don't know if Skull & Bones means anything, but let's just say it does. If Skull and Bones is for building one world government, probably with the US and UK at the controls of this one world government, Bush could be viewed as a renegade. He undermined the UN by moving against Iraq without first getting the approval of the UN security council.

Kerry supported the war in Iraq, but perhaps would have felt more constrained by the UN if he were President instead of Bush.

I know this is all wild speculation, but I would welcome any comments, even relatively polite flames (if there can be such a thing as "relatively polite flames"). This business of both candidates for President coming from one small secret society should be disturbing to members of both parties.

9. Faith-Based Voting

Patrick Henry said it best:
Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

This is never more true than now.
There WILL be Republican cheating in the 2004 election, but we can't just cave. If we are sufficiently diligent we can stop enough of it to prevent them from stealing it again.

There needs to be a massive outcry against corporate controlled vote counting, and demanding a paper trail throughout the whole process
I5t may be that in the future there can be true electronic recounts, but we cannot rely on that this year. Local action and local press attention are key to this effort.

10. A question like that

invites complacency which is the last thing the Democratic Party needs right now. I don't fault anyone for asking it. It's just that the last thing we need right now is for Dems to think there's no need to go to the polls or to get the vote out. We cannot let up until the new, ELECTED Democratic President-elect takes the oath of office, and not one second before that.

That's sort of my point; I see people posting all over the place that the election will be rigged, that Bush has it already sewn up. Better if we kind of see where we are on this issue.
