Here's your distraction story of Summer 2003

We're all familar with the pattern; a heart-tugging story that, while it bears no journalistic merit, will keep the masses occupied through the summer months, when the real evil shit is being planned. Think Condit, think shark attacks....

Well, I just saw a news repot on a "horrible incident" in which two children died, as a result of the windows not being rolled down in their parents' car.

Yes, I know that this is an "evergreen" for TV talking heads, and yes, it is a horrible situation. But, mock my woids, this will be the distraction story of Summer 2003. This common occurence will be a "disturbing trend" in no time.
