| We might actually be able to retake the Senate |
|
here's a not so impossible scenario:
we win CO, IL and AK we "lose" GA (it's not like we hold it now) we pick up one of these three: OK, MO, PA we lose one of those two: NC, SC we hang on to LA and FL
that's a +2 pickup, making it 51-49 in our favor. And then we have a good chance at getting Chaffee to cross the aisle, making it 52-48.
However, we can simply maintain status quo and retake the Senate. If we retake the White House, the VP will be the tiebreaking vote. Therefore, we'll own a 50-50 Senate. So if we break even and get Chaffee to switch, we'll have it.

He may even lose the GOP primary to a real flat earther type, so Pennsylvania looks like a good opportunity for a pick up.

that assumes no losses of Dem incumbents, and many of those guys including that wimp Daschel are vulnerable. It would be nice to have a place where we could make predictions about the senate and house races and track them over time. We could set up a couple of reps in each state/jurisdiction to keep us up to date on the race over the summer. It would also be a place for people to go to find out about progressive candidates positions and help raise donations for them. Hey that ain't a bad idea! Has anybody got a website we could use for this?

After what I saw at the caucuses, I've begun to think that a Watergate like purge is not impossible.

Of course the Dems could take the Senate.
The House is another matter.
