This is my take on those who will vote for Bush in November. I believe the crux of their support is the greedy, self-centered fixation on making money and how Bush can help them do it. "To hell with my neighbors," they cry, "let them pull themselves up by their own bootstraps." I imagine most of them are small business owners or mini entrepreneurs who hope to jump on the capitalist money train before it leaves the station. They worship at the altar of the American dream which promises unlimited wealth to anyone who seeks it. Unfortunately, since more than 40% of the wealth in America belongs to only 1% of the population, this religion is a cruel hoax. 99% of this nation will remain in the economic status they were born into regardless of their ambitions What these people fail to notice is that without a helping hand (or even just a level playing field) most Americans are trapped in their lower income brackets by our business worshiping capitalist system. The vast majority of our population can only succeed in life with the support of their government and its social programs. As long as we waste billions of our tax dollars occupying Iraq, which only benefits the big oil companies, the rest of us will end up with nothing. Regardless what our lobbyist licking politicians say, there is only a finite amount of credit that we can exhaust. It's time we stop this unfair subsidy for our Fortune 500 (especially the oil companies) and start helping the little guy. After all, he makes up 90% of our population.
I promise that if you vote for the candidates supporting your greed and selfishness, you will be sorry. The extra dollars you scrape out because of their policies won't be worth your trouble. You will just end up joining the rest of the population who are sinking into poverty one day at a time.
Remember, I said it here. Repent and help your fellow man before it's too late. Vote against Bush!

I found the majority of them are middle to lower income folks living lives of quiet desperation. Is their glorification of the rich and powerful some twisted illusion of self? Images of the March 21 protest in Los Angeles here: http://ediablo.com/LAprotest3-21-04.html

It's been tried before, with little success. As for your post, I see a few problems. Too many multisyllabic words, some overly complex mathematical concepts such as "percentages" and most importantly, nothing about the Clintons to get their attention. What were the responses? I'd go there myself, but I feel all icky after just glancing at all that crap. B-)

I don't know what to say to that. Thank you, but a triple toast and two "you rocks"? I'm kind of blushing uncomfortably over here! :-)

They must not have thought much of your post. Whenever anything intelligent is posted, or any FACTS, it is immediately banned and you lose your,uh, posting privlidges. Everyday they say the same things. When facts are presented, they ONLY HAVE TWO RESPONSES. ONLY TWO, no matter what the charge, nor how factual. ONE: they attack the messenger. Two: they reply with sarcasm (completely unfunny dry sarcasm). Those are the only two replies. Check it out. Anything critical to Bush, or the Bush administration policies, etc. They are apparently limited to only those two responses, because to actually debate issues or to be forced to be both objective and balanced with require them to hold themselves and their beliefs accountable.
Example: If I were to post this over their, I would get banned within 5 minutes. Their minds are so rigid, that the moderators watch the forum like hawks, evidently aware of just how easily led and manipulated these individuals are. Any differing views must be quickly eliminated.
And just for kicks, check this out. The other day I signed up, for the 3 time an sh*t. Their trying to portray Kerry as this "Elite Liberal blah blah blah, (u know, the usual shit)" from a "wealthy family." My post says, "George W. Bush comes from a wealthy family as well, whats the difference." And I get banned LoL. No facts. Just a whole lot of fingerpointing and spin.

John and Ted, I've been reading DU for about 2 years or so. I check out Freerepublic at least 3 or 4 times a week as well. I.E. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Just like Hitler in his bunker, no matter what goes on around them, these people will die believing that they are right. Regardless of anything else that goes on around them. The only way to change one of them is to have something unfortunate happen to them personally. Like the scientist with the Anthrax, then all of a sudden they have a selfish little change of heart. Like on trading Places and SH*t. F*ck the little man, until if ever, the roles change. Then their the most groveling shamless individuals ever.

To be a freeper you must first 1. Be completely self-righteous. I.E. Able to see the faults in everyone else, but never in oneself. 2. Believe that anyone who criticizes is special interest, but anyone who supports is completely Genuine. 3. Character assassinate the messenger, without dealing without the message. 4. Always look at oneself as the "Victim." I.E. "Liberal Media" Blah Blah Blah. Knowing that if Clinton were President he wouldn't have gotten away with half the Shit Bush did. (Far from Half, Remmember the media attention payed to Clinton staffers popping W's off of Keyboards, and a congressional investigation into it :) 5. Be completely without any sense of self-critism. I.E. Never wrong about anything. Even when proven wrong beyond reasonable doubt. 6. Able to immediately change the subject, if ever engaged in a debate, by trying to find some word or phrase to get upset and either, "appalled", "shocked," or many other adjectives. 7. Have no sense of real humor. Constantly bitch moan and complain about the left, (they just need something to be mad at, to make their miserable self-righteous lives worthwhile) 8. They need to feel like their better than somebody. As if THEY are more aware and INFORMED than anyone. 9. Instead of facing up to Sh*t, they'd rather ban it. So they can continue to live in their lies and fantasy world. 10. Bet on a Freeper to miss the entire message of the post. A freeper would use that last sentence, #9 and talk up the "fantasy" statement and miss all the other points. And all his freeper buddies would jump on the bandwaggon and congradulate.
G_D I hate ignorance and ignorant people.

I agree with everything you said in your post too. Freepers don't care, at the root, they appear to be very hatefull individuals. Like misery wanting company.
