| Al Quaeda Sleeper Cells in the US: NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!! |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 08:19 PM by Beetwasher
"I Don't Recall The Al Quaeda Sleeper Cells as Something We Needed To do Something About"
I believe that's a direct quote of Condi's response to the fact that they had knowledge of AQ sleeper cells in the US. I think that's criminally negligent...

| 1. Oh, but the FBI was all over it! |
|
And yet in the next breath she goes on and on about the "impediments" that kept the FBI from doing their job.

yet they scream that Clinton didn't do anything about Al Qaeda. If Al Qaeda wasn't anything to worry about, why do they think Clinton should have done something?
(I know Clinton did more about terrorism than any President ... I'm just questioning their logic.)

<from the transcript>
LEHMAN: <snip>
First, during the short or long transition, were you told before the summer that there were functioning Al Qaida cells in the United States?
RICE: In the memorandum that Dick Clarke sent me on January 25th, he mentions sleeper cells. There is no mention or recommendation of anything that needs to be done about them. And the FBI was pursuing them.
And usually when things come to me, it's because I'm supposed to do something about it, and there was no indication that the FBI was not adequately pursuing the sleeper cells.
By her own testimony, neither she nor L'il George showed any leadership on this issue. They were waiting for someone to tell them to do something.

| 4. Yeah, I love that..."But it didn't recommend we DO anything!" |
|
Dude, you think maybe that's because Clarke was assuming that you'd just FIGURE you oughta do something about this?

| 5. A disgusting display of excuse-making. |

Rather than any attempt to show a shred of responsibility. They were so focused on building Star Wars, they didn't pay attention to the real threats. IMO, they are not just negligent. All thinking people understand that massive investment in Star Wars actually detracts from national security. These people drive ahead with this scam, simply to enrich the military industries (the sponsors of the Bush cabal). I can only surmise they do not care about the security of the American people (any more than politically).

| 6. Well, if AlQaeda didn't do it, then I guess they were correct. |
|
There has never been an investigation. We don't yet know who did 9-11. We only know that the Crime Family TOLD us Al Qaeda did it, and produced some remarkably bad circumstantial evidence.
The only terrorists we really need to worry about are in the WH.

Where the hell are all these sleeper cells now?
The PDB supposedly says that there were 30+ sleeper cells within the US. Well, we know at least one of them is gone because they killed themselves pulling off 9-11. In the meantime, where the hell are the rest of them and what has Condi done about it?
