I remember hearing about a lawsuit that was brought against him by Jerry Falwell in regards to a ficticious ad that claimed Falwell drank a certain liquor and slept with his mother...and Larry Flynt won the suit.

Everytime I think of Larry Flynt, I also visualize his alter-ego Jerry Falwell who once sued Flynt for parodying him in Hustler. Both peddle fantasy, and both make a great deal of money doing so. I happen to believe Flynt is the better man.

Flynt's defense of first amendment issues makes him the better American, and his lack of hypocrisy concerning the range of acceptable sexual behavior between consenting adults makes him more fun. Altogether the better man.

If I were being asked to vote in California's absurd recall election, I think I might find it quite easy to cast a vote for Larry Flynt. He couldn't possibly be any worse than Mr. Steroid. Just what California needs, a governor on a 'roid rage.

Flynt seems to know where all the bodies are burried (as we do at DU). Flynt is at least honest about what he does -- Issa, the fine, upstanding, family-values kinda guy that he is -- is the worst kind of sleeze. Of course I'm voting "no" on the recall AND voting for Larry Flynt. Would it not be a wonderful, twisted sort of poetic justice if Larry actually won (if Davis is recalled)?

17. Well I cant stand Hustler..But I love Flynt

Huslter has never been my cup of reading tea..Even back in my horny teenage years reading nudie mags..But Flynt is a true american icon..He fought for our rights and it drove him mad and crippled him and he still fought more..The Republicans for some reason are OBSESSED with sex ( More so than the left i think )and Flynt just shoves thire noses in it..I love the Ads.Im sure O'really is going to have an on air stroke when he finds out about it..Im Not sure about voting for Flynt but im not agianst it...

to get him elected governor. The overwhelming reason for voting for him was his "honesty". Okay, he may have fudged his military career a little but politically, he told it like it was. This will be Flynt's appeal, but I think the cringe factor will result in an overwhelming "NO" to the recall.
