Registered myself as DemintheheartofTexas and posted the following in the Campaign Suggestions Forum.

I just read where Purple Heart Medels are on back order. I thought what a wonderful oportunity for John Kerry and Vets for Kerry to show their support for the newly wounded from Iraq and Afganistan. My suggestion is that Sen. Kerry with other vets visit the wounded in hospital in the US if not Iraq and award them their medals. This would make a powerful statement that would emphasize the unity of Democratic Veterans and the military men and women that are facing lives with missing limbs and life long injuries.

I know that it would be hard to give up your medals but they can be replaced and think of what it would mean to the troops.
