Especially your last word...mismanagement. It is a phrase that everyone can relate to and one that would put them on the defensive.

Show the whole clip, split screen with what was happening in NYC. Show that little bastard getting told of the second crash and displaying no curiosity, no concern. Show how he SAT THERE, didn't excuse himself to go get a thorough briefing, didn't excuse himself to go find a phone, didn't do his job. He SAT THERE.
This chilling video will hit people in the gut.

'war president'"? And then state something like, it is a time for peace and internationalism (if that is even a word)
Maybe you should include a republican talking about the draft, or replay a speech republican talking about the draft. Then I guess we are playing their fear game.
Great idea though. You are very creative.

The american public doesn't like dead soldiers being used for political purposes any more than dead firefighters, and we all remember the outcry over that.
Crap like this is a good way to lose an election.

when people are repelled by the truth and instead want everything sanitized and "wholesome"---Life isn't sanitized and wholesome and the sooner Americans get over this 'manufactured Disney-imagineering of reality', the better it will be for their collective mental health.

It isn't a matter of wholesomeness (though in some instances your point about sanitization is very relevant.)
In this case it's a matter of apropriating images of the death of other peoples' sons and daughters for political gain. People regard it as crass. I would regard Kerry using pictures of dead veterans of the Iraq war as every bit as crass as Bush's usage of the dead firefighters from 9/11. When it gets right down to it, politics and political ads are about winning elections, and the images would be shown out of that desire, rather than in the name of some higher moral purpose or truth. The American public needs to see these images. However, they don't want to see them in ads for politicians.
