| How many incidents will we never hear of? |
|
Face it, these people who perpetrated the humiliation of those prisoners were plain stupid. Not merely evil, but stupid (maybe even worse than a freeper). They actually documented their crimes in film (who could be that idiotic???)
But, how many other crimes against humanity are going to go unnoticed? How many other war criminals are out there (maybe getting honor and glory when they return to the states as heroes)??
What can we do to make sure that at least some percentage are held accountable for their actions?
Sure, the entire war is the fault of the shrub and his lackeys, but there is no excusing an individual who commits a war crime.
I think after Kerry is in office, there should be inquiries on each and every person who served over there from 1991 through the present. Those who are without guilt should not be punished, but the severest form of punishment should await those who have guilt (either through their actions or through their silence). The only way we'll know is to go through a de-Nazification routine like what happened in Germany after WWII. Would you like to have a war criminal living next door to you?? WOuldn't you like to have some assurance that your Iraq war-veteran neighbor wasn't a criminal?

| 1. um, that's a lot of people |
|
do you think soldiers did bad things in WWII? (or any other war)
I'm not excusing it, but why punish everyone by investigating ALL of THEM? Why not try to track down individuals instead?
I wonder if Americans committed these same types of acts in all the wars of the last century?

prisoners in Afghanistan. There used to be a link to a documentary from Canadian television that demonstrated our treatment of prisoners in Afghanistan including those that died in a storage container that was shot up by Americans

...but I fear that they will keep their silence until this "war" is over. Otherwise they might jeopardize the access given to other members of their "guild."

| 8. Only a small minority commit these kinds of crimes |
|
However, it is also only a minority of that minority who ever get caught.
