Answering Bush's Racism Charges

A classic Bush ploy is to imply racism in his opponents (us). We see it in his famous "subtle bigotry of low expectations" bullsh*t and we see it again in his "some say brown people can't govern themselves" rhetoric. It's disgusting that the smirking Bush -- the guy whose people won the South Carolina primary by implying John McCain had an illegitimate mixed-race daughter -- can keep a straight face as he says these things. But he can and does.

So what's our response? Nothing so far.

How about simply saying that if Bush cares so much about racism, why doesn't he do something to eliminate it from the Republican Party? Challenge Bush to say the following: "I don't want the vote of anyone who believes in racial segregation or in the superiority of one race over another. Anyone like that can stay home on election day. The Republican Party doesn't need that kind of filth."

Bush won't say that obviously. But maybe it will shut him up on racism.

They criticize "liberals" for "playing the race card". But they have no problem using that tactic when they think it might benefit them.
