What I do remember the most about January's news was the administration loudly complaining that no good things are being reported and the media was being unfair.

They didn't invite us to free them and though millions of Iraqis were glad Saddam Hussein was gone, they weren't glad we were there.

What is most disturbing about this is that it is counter to the historical role of the secretary of Defense. He or she is supposed to nurture and build up U.S. armed forces, not tear them down.
