Iraq costs US citizens $1,000 each! Isn't that a powerful message ?

With the Bush increase, we're up to $245 Billion. That's real money.

But people have no idea what that really means. In fact, with 240 million Americans, it's over $1,000 each !

That's $1,000 for every single man, woman and child in the good old U S of A. Seems like a potent fact. Is it?

3. The "average" tax cut

was quoted in a letter by my repuke Rep in Congress as $1126. What she forgot to mention was that this "average" is like the average income at a working class tavern being a $million a year -- after Bill Gates sits down for a drink.

2. Yes, but don't forget the tax cut -

It helped me this year. As a single, gay man who cannot get married, I sent in my additional $1,100 to the
IRS on April 15. My property taxes increased $900 this past year and the city stopped snow plowing the side
walks because of cutbacks, among other lowered expectations ....

4. According to the census...

...estimated U.S. population is now at 290,000,000 persons, but realistically with the accelerated fighting in Iraq, the cost will top $300 Billion over the next 12 months. Social Security and Medicare surpluses are funding the deficits, so guess who really is paying for this Great Stupid War?

That's right, the seniors and there are 37 Million of them 65 or older. The tab then is more like $8,109 per senior.
