Kerry's jokes are great. He told the crowd that the most powerful office in the land was Secretary of State of Florida!

Al Franken wrote that one for him a while ago. Franken is going to be a great asset on the campaign trail. I hope Aaron Sorkin is donating his skills to Kerry, too.

I just pick up little tidbits from newsrooms and other places.
Sept. will be the time for big announcements and everything will roll from there.

And the crowd also seems prety hostile to him. He comes accross as trying to talk a great game but he sounds like hes trying to bullshit me.
I am sure ill get flamed for this post but oh well its how I see it.

Hate to disillusion you, but I've spoken to Gov Dean at length, in person, in broad daylight and it's his hair and he doesn't wear any makeup. I've been a TV producer for a number of years and I can tell the difference.
Not that you'll let that stop you.

|
He will never get my vote. I have also converted a few Kerry voters...I need only remind them he was instrumental in sending American Men and Women to their deaths in Iraq, and stealing their freedoms. Way to go Kerry you look so Presidential...:puke: I hope he looses and looses BIG! All the celebrities in the world won't turn this pigs ear into a silk purse.

You never commented on the Hartmann piece that revealed what kind of judges Dean said he wanted to appoint (1997). Pretty chilling, Gbnc.

People get swayed by rhetoric all the time. Even smart people.
How Hartmann can go from his shock at Dean's disregard for legal technicalities as a reason for who he appoints as judges, to being a supporter is pretty odd. I'd love to hear him explain it.

It's a sad day when people can't suspend their own biases to see a truly great statesman right before their eyes. You don't have to like his policies to see that he cares about people and has a commitment to his own ideas that is beyond campaigning.
And I thought it was great people asked him tough questions. That means the audience wasn't hand-picked. It means they see something in him that automatically says 'I can hold this guy accountable'. It means there's an intrinsic trust that calls them to really say what's on their mind. It means this campaign is already past the perfunctory pleasantries people tend to give to new politicians and they're right into the heart and soul of it.
I haven't seen a candidate on yet that I couldn't find something positive about, it amazes me some people can only tear down and never build up anything except their pre-conceived ideas. That is guaranteed to keep a person in a state of perpetual ignorance.

till he voted for War. Now my personal line in the sand is War, Patriot Act, Homeland Gestapo. If a politician vote for em...I won't vote for them...period plain and simple.

Why don't you let people have their discussions and opinions and refrain from sticking your war vote noise into everything. We heard you, we disagree. There is more to leading the country then the war vote. When Kucinich loses, what are you going to do?

Dean or Sharpton or Mickey Mouse or none of the above! Kerry will never get my vote. Nor will anyother candidate that crossed the line.
Edit: If he cannot be trusted on the MOST Important issues...then he can't be trusted on others.

It's a complete waste of time. People have their minds made up and it has moved into the realm of people not being able to post anything without being attacked. Only Dean and Kucinich supporters can post anything positive about a candidate. It's counter-productive when the same few people make the same post over and over and over and over and over. I don't bother Dean people with what I see as his hypocritical stance on the war for that exact reason. There are other things to discuss besides the war and the absolutely stupid rhetoric about the Patriot Act. Everybody ought to have a right to debate candidates without the two issues destroying every thread.
