Honesty, as always, is a wonderfully refreshing thing here at DU. So, with that in mind, how many men engaged in the current bait and slaughter session a mere few rows down think most of the women on DU are “not overly sexist” but feel it is “almost impossible for them to understand” their perspective as currently framed in above mentioned post?

has any one seen that south park episode (it was on the other night) when all the kids dont understand why the flag is racist even though it is 4 white guys hanging a black guy, because the kids themselves arent aware of their color. colorblind...sex-blind....obvisouly some people in DU are not...but many are, and the kneejerk people should see that.

22. all I know is this

I got the neanderthal thread it called to task sexist language aimed at debasing women and asked that this type of sexism be called to task. I thought it was in response to the inhumane behavior of the neanderthals that participated in those kobe and sex threads. Interestingly it seems this thread on the neanderthals has created a reaction wherein the main point which was a very valid one is being dissipated, which seems an effort aimed at distracting all from the more important point that was made by the neanderthal thread.

Now that said, I have no idea if this is your intent, or if this is the intent of others that seem to have convoluted the important point by raising less relevant points in an attempt to create a complete devolution in intelligent discourse. This is my sense on this... I may be wrong it would not be the first time or the last.

If my senses are correct, count me out because I now find the whole thing rather sophmoric and therefore a waste of time.

again this is not an accusation. I have no idea what your motive was nor the motives of all those who openned all the other threads that that interestingly is seems were prompted by NSMA's neanderthal thread. All I know is that NSMA in openning that thread, raised a very good point. I could care less who agrees or disagrees with me on the topic, and therefore, at this time, I see no point in going round and round any longer on the topic.

I find I have as much in common with males as with females, most of the time, and I certainly like guys for other reasons (cough, cough) and have more tolerance for their obnoxious ways than I do for female obnoxious ways (as far as stereotypes go).

But, no, I'll never understand the pressures that men face, totally, and men will never understand why I hate Pamela Anderson.
