The "security alert" could be ratcheted up to "ORANGE" by tomorrow! Citing the usual "Unknown" this and "Unknown" that! Betcha this shit goes on all summer!

| 1. This from the same agency that was "positive" just from a photo that the |

lawyer in Oregon was a terrorist and it was "for sure" his fingerprint. Even if what they were saying was true, why would we have confidence in the K.B.I. (Keystone-cops Bureau of Investigation) that they would stop it or have any idea where it was going to happen? They were so sure about that fingerprint and we saw how that turned out! I'd have more confidence if Bareny Phife and Otis the town drunk were running the F. I mean K.B.I. As much as they like to think, Bin Laden et al are very smart. For that matter, Bin Laden has an engineering degree and probably got better grades than stay the course/fall off my mountain bike-kid!! I guess he wasn't quite "skull & bones" material though. What if the terrorists are putting out false info to divert our attention from the real attack? We sure wouldn't know it b/c were too busy trying to convict a lawyer in Oregon for a bombing in Madrid, Spain!! That's "connecting the dots" boys!

| 2. Kind of reminds me of a funny cartoon |
|
A king is at his balcony and below the balcony there are a lot of angry peasants with weapons. The king makes an announcement, "The dragon Alert level has been raised to Orange!!!!" The caption of the cartoon says, "Creation of the Imperial Scrutiny Diversion System."
It is hilarious. It is from the comic Non-Sequitur dated 9/11/2003. I saved it a long time ago to my computer and I do not know how to upload the .gif file to show people here, but it is great! If you want to pay for it, then you can go to www.ucomics.com and search around.

| 4. can we believe the intelligence sources for this? |
|
don't forget the info we are getting for our Summer Terralert originates from our intelligence agencies
these are the same agencies that bush* blames for failures regarding September 11
these are the same agencies that bush* blamed for being WRONG about the Yellow-cake - Niger statement
these are the same agencies that bush* blames for being WRONG about WMD's in Iraq
these are the same agencies that bush* blames for being wrong about the Al-Qaeda - Saddam connection
these are the same agencies that bush* blames for being "fooled" by Chalabi
sooooo--how serious can we take this summer terralert when our intelligence has been "wrong" on so many counts?
bush*'s war college speech tanked, his numbers are in the toilet, it's not surprising that a terralert has been issued -- fear seems to be the only tool that gives his numbers a boost
meanwhile -- many cities/towns are seriously understaffed/under-equipped in the first-responder areas (layoffs, cutbacks due to lack of homeland insecurity funding)
sortof related question -- if we do go to ORANGE-lert, and remain on ORANGE-lert through the summer -- will bush* still take a vacation?

| 10. Hey! I LIKE Orange-A-Lert! |
|
Heck, I remember that stuff from when I was a kid in Houston, TX!
It came in 12 ounce bottles and was delicious! Sitting on the back porch, listing to the katydids and sipping on an ice cold Orange-A-Lert on hot August nights was how we passed the time.
Grape-A-Lert was good, too. Howcome they don't make stuff like that anymore?
:toast:
The Strawberry-A-Lert was nasty, though!
