| tenet resigns..."the official story" |
|
Of course the public reasons given where "for personal reasons".
But, listening to NPR news and NPR "Marketplace", the line was that the "CIA was under fire for bad intel".
Now, public radio isnt "official", but its probably a good perspective on the mainstream media spin on this...that the CIA was under fire, so Tenet resigned.
This spin is pretty much the Bush adminstration spin, as we are not pay attention to the fact that the intel supporting the WMD claim didnt come from the CIA, but from that OSD in-house policy/intel shop run by the neocons.
So we are now in flatout Orwellian "minsitry of truth" mode, where its the CIA and Tenet that take the bullet for bad advice leading to going into Iraq, as a way of further obfuscating the causus belli

I'm with you there ...
but, what are the Hill Democrats believing? what is the Party spokespersons talking?
are they talking PNAC/NeoCons or are they going along with the flow/bait/disinfo/spin from the White House and the Media?

| 2. How are the Neo-Cons gonna keep a lid on disgruntled spooks? |
|
Scandals, lawsuits, investigations, resignations, tell-all books flying every which way. I have no doubt that some unhappy folks at the highest levels of the intelligence community are behind the recent turn of events.
I don'T think the Administration has a handle of anything anymore, let alone the CIA spooks.

That he knows enough about the NeoCons running the Federal Government behind Dimbo's back that he wanted to leave before November?
The timing and other shite accompanying his departure might be Rove's way of masking something else in the upcoming week.
Another thing: with the DO and his Deputy leaving the CIA at the same time, will Rove and his minions take the opportunity to shred the working intelligence files relating to Dimbo's reign?

| 4. You're right. Its just because of bad intel. Now move along. |
|
Porter Goss' report will be just one big harrumph on bad intel. WH is off the hook. Tenet has leverage because he can now testify as a private citizen, which will keep the Bushistas away from him (and his family). Goss is named as new DCI and we can just move on.

Nothing Tenet could have said to stop the neo-con plans for Pax Americana. This administration turned a blind eye and ear to Tenet's warnings on 9/11....and they distorted the CIA intel to get their invasion. Open up Cheney's secret energy meetings to validate the plan. Tenet was set-up....I hope the RW screams loudly and spends much time trying to pin the actions of the Bush administration on Tenet....and then I hope Tenet drops a fact or 2 to blow them out of the water.
