Reagan and Education

California was once first in education. Reagan wanted to improve things so he took California to last and it has remained at or close to the bottom in education ever since.

The U.S. used to be at the top in education. Reagan had a job to do and he took the U.S. to last in education.


For those unfamiliar with decades, it was the "Me generation" that was out there in the seventies (during Reagan's second term as governor) who worked together to put their hero of self-centeredness into office at the end of their decade.


In 1983 (thanks to Reagan and Dole), U.S. Postal Workers lost their Social Security if they continued working. After 1983, those that thought they would work for a long time, switched retirement programs (something that had to be done over a long period of years) but the older ones were afraid to do so. As a result there are postal workers in their eighties who are afraid to retire because, the day they do, they will lose their Social Security. These people were on the frontlines of the war on terror in 2001.
