I'm watching the Reagan coverage on MSNBC, and one of their reporters (Carrie?) just stated that (sic) "The skies were overcast except for a moment when they removed the coffin from the hearse and the ex-president's body was taken into the library."
PUHLEASE.

Or the Soviet version on Stalin's funeral.
Glorious Leader. Divine. Could do no wrong. Divine. Look, here's proof of divinity.
(naturally the Commies did all this without religious metaphor, and though the Busheviks might seem otherwise, it is possible to be Totalitarian without a Religious Side)
Hitler, used the Christian Religious Imagery a lot, also, until he got in command and then began talking about creating a Nazi Religion.
But that was at the end.

"The skies were overcast except for a moment when they removed the coffin from the hearse and it rained fire & brimstone, then the ex-president's body was taken into the library."

During his inauguration, it was cloudy too, but the sun peeked out about the time of his oath of office. The Worshippers of St. Ron took that as a sign of divinity too.

I am so sick of this.
First of all I thought he died about 10 years ago, second he wasn't a great president or a great actor.
Let's move on quickly, I CAN'T take a whole week of this.
Cheers, Kim
