The thing about Woodruff is, you tend to give her the benefit of the doubt because of her PSS background. I think Truman did it classier. He was Citizen Truman after his retirement, as The Framers wanted it. From Citizen to President back to Citizen.

If you're not a sitting president who dies, I just don't think this kind of hoopla is warranted. Reagan should have had the honor guard in California, with the crowds filing by to pay their respects. Then, they should have buried him, and that would have been that.

Betcha a dollar that Citizen Carter doesn't want his body dragged from Plains to Washington to Plains, when his time comes.
