4. But a Kerry win is just a battle

We are barely even scratching the surface of the real fight. Kerry will win. But he will not win because of Democratic ideals. He will win because George W Bush is so bad at being president that even the concerted efforts of the neocons and the media can blind the people to his incompitance.

We need to take the spark that we get from Kerry and we need to light as many bonfires as we can. We need to bring the sense of reason of progressive liberal ideas before the people so they can see the plain sense of it. We need to drive back the darkness created by the neocons in their bid to undo the progress of decades. We need to take back this country from the Corporations and return it to We The People.

11. I don't think you should "absolutely" trust anyone

Especially not Kerry, if your "unshakeable belife in dem/liberal/and progressive ideals" is serious.

Kerry is step one in taking back the country. The only reason he is step on is because he is the opponent to Bush, and Bush must be stoped. Anyone but Bush in 2004. The next step is to start fighting for ACTUAL PROGRESSIVE not DLC right wing coprorate bougth and paid for "Democrats." Real change is needed not just the "moderate" maintenance of the status quo.

Kerry is not a "good guy" for progressives. He is however, THE guy who can take down bush, and that is priority number one as stage one. Stage two is to start putting progressives back into congress, and developing a progessive poltiical base at the federal level that can support and put power behind a progressive candidate for president.

I'm a democrat this year because Bush must be stopped. But I'm a social progressive at heart, and the Democratic party is not that.
