| Whenever Bush visits a military base between now and November. . . |
|
. . .it should be scrutinized like never before. If he visits a military base it should NON PARTISAN! He had McCain, who is from Arizona and the chairman of his campaign in AZ, instead of a Senator from Washington. This is blatant partisan use of the military and has to be called out.

...on these junkets is evidently to keep the troops from dissing their Commander-in-Chief. He's got the cred that Junta Boy lacks.

Wondering why in the hell his name is even considered for VP. He was disgusted.
I am disgusted. After the garbage of 2000, why McCain would stand with the chimp is beyond me. He should have more pride.

He thinks the neoconservatives are going down and McCain wants to be there to help rebuild the republican party on "old fashion conservative ideas" like being fiscally conservative and less government.

I have been wondering about McCain's refusal to run with Kerry (if asked) for these reasons: 1.) It would be an historical precedent to have a bipartisan ticket 2.) It would go far to heal wounds on both sides 3.) It could spell the end of the evil neocons.
I am sure that McCain's ego is big enough to take on a challenge like that so why wouldn't he consider it??
The only thing that really makes sense to me is that he has his own personal aspirations.
Hmmm

without facing demonstrations and negative crowds. Remember "commander in chief" - they need to obey.

Especially here in western Washington state. Fort Lewis is about the only place in the Puget Sound region that he won't get protested.

He is clearly using these stops entirely as campaign events. He wants desperately to have his face embedded in the national conscience as being associated with military power. I suspect that he is over-doing it, and that most moderate republicans are going to find events such as today's "commercial" to be pathetic.
I will say that today's event showed why McCain should never be considered a democratic allie. Like Collin Powell, McCain is willing to humiliate himself by pretending this fellow is the commander in chief. Bush is a war criminal. He is an enemy of democracy, and a threat to the Constitution of the United States.

he has to keep the war in front of the people somehow. If he did not speak in front of these type of audiences he might have to answer tough questions from people who are allowed to speak. Have you seen any of the military stand up and ask a question. Have you ever seen any of the military disagree with what he says.
But he can't make this war look good. He is only killing more innocent Americans and the public is waking up to that.
Now with McCain stumping with him at these bases.bush has his Nam vet.......to hoist him up inreguard to Kerrys Nam record.....
