| For Father's Day, I want bush to leave my sons out of his death cult |
|
I have two fine sons, and one fine daughter. My youngest son is 20. My oldest son is 32. They are both prime material for the draft, which may be coming. No one seems to be stopping bush's obscene human sacrifice death cult from doing as it damn well pleases.
I spoke to my eldest son this morning when he wished me happy father's day. he's broke like me, and can't get me anything right now, which is fine, because just hearing his voice is gift enough.
I don't want mr. bush to silence that voice for his insane death cult.

We have 4 fine boys who aren't of draft age yet but if the draft comes back, it won't go away in time for them to escape it.
Not that I am brainwashing my kids or anything :) but our 6 year old wants to take our summer vacation to Washington DC so he can go to the White House and tell Bush how "Icky" he is.:P

| 4. Not only that, my kids will growing up in a country that is |

to be blunt, hated around the world.
Instead of growing up in a nation they can be proud of that is well respected globally, they will be growing up in a nation that is hated! We are hated solely based on the policies of this administration. The damage they have done will take generations to repair.
Our kids are going to be left to clean up the mess this administration created. To me, that is totally unfair. We are suppose to leave them with a better world.

| 6. the apparent inevitability of the reinstatement of the draft |
|
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 11:00 AM by stellanoir
on June 15, 2005 under a (perish the thought) reselected * is the primary motivation for my obsession and copious letter writing campaign regarding the need for immediate amelioration BBV machines. Manipulation of the accounting of votes is the only way shrub can win and deprive more parents of their kids. Consider staying focused on this issue above all others.
The only reason the draft would warrant reinstatement would be due to *'s heinous mismanagement of the military and his arrogant treatment of both our allies and our adversaries. I've counseled high school and college kids for a very long time. The other day I came across several who had enlisted. Though I wished them well, I secretly wanted to shake them and say, "what are you thinking. . .?" I've never been so tongue tied in all my life.
Sheesh. These kids were wonderful but so misguided and misinformed. It broke my heart, especially when one of them just looked at me plaintively and said, I just don't want to be rendered physically incapable of normal functions.
It was all I could do to hold back what I really wanted to say.

| 7. It's very important for men ages 17-34 to |
|
start now: be prepared! There is plenty of information available on documenting your belief system in such a way that when the draft is reinstated, you can declare C.O. status. People who are interested in helping young people can contact the Center on Conscience & War at 1830 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC 20009 (ph:202-483-2220)
It is important to understand that you do not have to be "religious," belong to any organized church, or even believe in God. However, you would do well to understand exactly what the system requires; have certain basic documentation prepared; and I strongly recommend that you consider being affiliated with a group with anti-war credentials.
I share my friend and brother mopaul's concerns. I also have two sons, ages 20 and 17. I have a dozen nephews. I have a hundred friends that have children, or are youths, in that age group. I believe it is perhaps the most important issue facing many of us today.
This is why I keep asking: how far are we willing to go? I mean, I can afford to move my boys to a foreign country. I hope it doesn't come down to that. But not everyone can. I am 100% interested in helping other people with this. But some of us may have to give of ourselves. We may need to sacrifice. I again ask: are we -- the parents -- willing to suffer? To what extent? Brother Mopaul: if you had to give up your anger and rage to save your sons' lives, could you? That's a serious question .... and I ask it in all sincerity, as a father who believes you love your sons just as I love mine. I am interested in your response.
(PS: I am hoping your son could put your new picture on a t-shirt for me today. I like it a lot!)
