Hope you got a chance to watch- well done Will! And while we are on the subject of famous DUers I am glad to know through this excellent site, is DWickham a regular contributer to USA Today? Read an excellent article this week, wasn't sure if the author was the DU poster. Fess up! ( Sorry if this falls under the category of common DU knowledge!) I am away from my computer for days and sometimes weeks at a time and I miss lots of interesting stuff.

1. Will is a wonderful writer

he wrote a book with an interview with Scott Ridder that laid the foundation for what a fraud this Iraq war was, and he is tremendously talented. I've bought both his books and they are great!

I'm glad he's getting recognition. I don't watch that much TV but I know Will is a wonderful writer and I'm sure, a speaker.

2. Today my mother mentioned Will's appearance out of the blue...

My mother has never been a political person at all. She never watches CSPAN. I guess as of late she's become more interested since she knows that's the way to my heart. }(

I thought it was odd that she just happened to catch CSPAN at the same time that Will was on.

A friend of mine, who is basically an apolitical, cynical libetarian, saw Will's speech to the vets the other day. He was extremely impressed and sent me a link to truthout.com (He thought I probably knew about it, since it was a "liberal" site", but wanted to make sure) transcript.

I haven't seen/heard Will speak, but he must be very powerful to have such a strong effect on my Generation Xer friend.

Way to go, Will!!

My mother is in assisted living after suffering two strokes. When I visited her today she had your name written down so she wouldn't forget it. It's very difficult for her to speak because of aphasia but I was able to figure out that she's in love with you. She caught you on CSpan this AM and is smitten. :)
