Now.... While I fully support someone's 2nd amendment right to sally forth armed to the teeth, this sounds like a pretty transparent threat.

20. All kidding aside, the author of the email meant guns

and as such, the email was an implied threat.

Within a group of gun owners, when they ask "do you carry?" they are almost always asking if you carry a weapon.

So, when this nutcase annouces "Freepers carry"...he most likely means freepers carry guns

The FBI has a cyber crime unit for such emails.

I know it's fun to make fun of freepers...but it's also good to remember that many of them are more than a little unstable...and they have shown the lengths they will go to get to a person.

I'm not saying be afraid..I am saying be careful.

So what do I do now? I honestly did not get the hidden meaning. While it COULD be debated (by him) that he did not mean "weapon" it is obviously crystal clear that he did. So, how do I contact, who do I contact, and what do I say? (I removed my e-mail from my profile and blocked him from my e-mail account... sad sick world.)

He is threatening you life as he did with his e-mail the other night. Call the FBI.
Look, several people from an e-mail list I belong to called the FBI on a guy who said he was headed to florida with a gun during the recount. He threatened Gore's life and he was stopped by the cops. I don't know what happened after that.
However this guy is a nut, he harrasses women and democrats. He should be prosecuted. Making terroristic threats is a crime.

If you wanted to take it further, you could just call your area/region FBI office, and they would give you the number to the Cyber Crime Unit. The CCU could tell you more about your options.


If I called, I would let them know that I have been emailed more than once by this character, as well as the content of the emails...and that the emails sent were unsolicited and you felt they carried a threat to your person.

It could be just some nutter getting his jollies by writing the emails-with no intent to act on his implied threat.

In todays world, you just never know anymore.

I was concerned about you...it's just the freepers have shown themselves to be tenacious in going after democrats and liberals.
