Some bookstores won't let you get an autographed book unless you bought the book from them. I found this out when a local store sponsored Anne Rice's booksigning. You were only supposed to get a personalized autograph of the current book (Servant of the Bones, which sucked), but I managed to get her to address my hardcover copy of "The Witching Hour" to me.

If he goes through Borders, here, that won't be an issue because they don't have that policy. I suspect he will, because Borders has a downtown Detroit store and he may want to keep the business in the city.

3. Where is the "Not planning to read it" option?

I voted "other" instead. I have absolutely ZERO interest in reading self-congratulatory tomes written by narcissistic former-holders of high office.
