| F 9-11 New Orleans- SOLD OUT |
|
packed house and applause...there was a strange thing that happened though
the movie was scheduled for 7:30. At 7:50 a guy from the theater notified us of "technical difficulties" and that the show would be starting in the next 10-15 minutes. *note* people showed up 30-40 minutes ahead of time for decent seats so this meant some of us waited on the movie for over an hour...due to this mysterious delay
Around 8:05 the previews began playing....
In regards to the movie response? applause, tears, sniffles..it was overwhelming!

at the Funky Butt. He was playing the time I went there and his band was awesome. It was called "The James Alsanders Jazz Project." I would buy a CD of that in a heartbeat!

was also sold out in Flint, Michigan for the 7:00 movie. Our Kerry meetup group wore our t-shirts and people were coming up to us. One lady bought a t-shirt, another to tell us how much they liked the movie, another to share that there would be a Move-on/Moore party on her house on Monday the 28th. There were people on the corner outside the theater with Peace signs and End War. The ACLU local chapter had a big sign on their car in the parking lot. And when we left the movie there was a huge crowd to go into the next showing. My favorite part of the movie is when Michael takes an ice cream truck around Washington and reads the Patriot Act with the ice cream music going on in the background. That was priceless.

That and one other bits were the only classic Moore spoofs in F-9/11; and they weren't as abrasive as some from previous flicks.
Magnificent movie.
