| I witnessed Evil personified today F911 |
|
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 01:43 AM by LibertyorDeath
Courtesy of Michael Moore America owes him much for this act of Courage.
He pulled back the curtains on the most Evil group of people ever to come to Power in the USA.
I'm not a Religious person but I believe there is such a thing as True Evil.
And what I saw could be described no other way.
shrub is many things & we discuss them at length here but what hit me like a ton of bricks while watching F911 was just how truly Evil he is above all. This is his dominant characteristic.
If this man does not go in November America will descend into something awful. There no doubt in my mind about this now there was before I saw the Film but not now.
Fascism is not knocking at the door it's already in the room. And the American media has welcomed it & is busy making it comfortable.
These are Dangerous times.

| 1. If it really wasn't happening, I'd think it was a nightmare... |

I'm still feeling sick....A girlfriend of mine went with me for the 7PM showing in Mill Valley, CA....sold out...in fact all shows were sold out...
There are so many parts of the movie that just grabbed me and punched me in the stomach...I'm still feeling it...we walked out of the movie feeling the very similar feeling I had after seeing Shindler's List...
Your right, this administration is our century's True Evil...As I watched the movie and scene after scene in disbelief, whenever a scene with Bush would appear I just felt nauseated and I glared....I glared because I couldn't believe that this evil person and the evil people surrounded by him have basically hijacked our democracy and are basically raping the world...The even harder reality to grasp is the fact that while this has been happening, the rest of America has been asleep, letting it happen..."WE" forgot the "We" in We the people.
The Fascists have taken over this country and unless "We the People" start to do something about it, it will be too late for us all.

| 2. I am still reflecting on the Film |
|
& even more the mainstream media's reaction to it.
The American media is paving the way for full fledged Fascism to come to power in America this * regime is like a test case, run it up the flag pole see what happens. They are learning from this how far how fast they can push the public how many are onside easy to manipulate how many will fight against it. All the polls re torture is it ok etc etc they are busy getting ready for the real thing.
They are getting ready they have already laid the foundation.

| 7. Wow. THAT is one interesting observation. |
|
I hadn't even considered that idea, Bush the "test case". Run him up the flagpole and see what happens. See if anyone fights back. See how much we'll take. How far it can be pushed. Then revise and repeat.
Serious food for thought there.

Remember that scene, at the end of Dangerous Liasons, when Glenn Close, after betraying her beloved friends who have died as a consequence of her manipulations, gets publically outed and humiliated at the opera house? After her horrible crime she comes to sit in her box seat and people start to whisper and then hiss and boo her right out of the theatre. She returns home and realizes the complete weight of all she has done, paying the ultimate price which is public scorn and ostracisation...as she slowly wipes the makeup 'mask' off her face. She was all about winning at any cost, and somewhere along the way had lost compassion for and connection to others.
Well 9/11 is Bush's public outing. Nowhere else to hide. Now HE is the hunted one (as his cabal hunted Clinton).

middle class vs. extremely wealthy, instead of just liberal vs. conservative.
Part of the reason the Democratic Party is so marginalized today is that they've stopped paying attention to their core constituency. They're so focussed on silly divide-and-conquer, symbolic bullshit (like flag burning), that they completely ignore labor issues.
I don't think the Democratic leadership WANTS to address labor issues. They're guarding their stock portfolios just like the openly corporate Republicans.
There's been a class war raging in this country for decades, but one side hasn't been aware of it. I'm so glad Moore pointed it out.
I think that's the reason the mainstream is attacking it so viciously, to tell you the truth. Not so much Iraq per se, but the "rabble rousing", populist message. They do NOT want to proles to wake up.

| 6. I hear you. I also think * & his regime are not really Republicans |
|
They have made a home within the Far Right of the Repub Party but they are truly Fascists not Neo cons Fascists.
These are not the type of Fascists you read about in History books (well maybe to a degree) more so they are Techno Fascists they use Technology ie Media,Electronic Voting, Spying, Anthrax, extremely complex interconnected corporate & personal relationships to gain & maintain power. Their biggest current asset is American corporate media which they use quite effectively to mold public opinion.
Their only allegiance is to Power anything that gets in the way of this is expendable.

"Not so much Iraq per se, but the "rabble rousing", populist message. They do NOT want to proles to wake up."
If everybody took a good hard look at their economic self-interest, the Republican Party would implode. This party gets most of its popular support from those that benefit least from the republican message.
Talk about a disconnect from reality. It is like the NAACP cheering at a KKK rally.
