Go for it. I'm interested in seeing how long this movie runs, too. A good opening weekend PLUS extended runs would be too sweet!!

Next weekend might make great numbers just on the fact that it was sold out in so many places, many people won't get to see it until next weekend anyway

But PLEASE make sure you bring tissues, this movie hits hard in many places, and even the most stoic movie-goer can't handle it

4. Hello i am new here

I am a lifelong Republican, I voted for Bush in 2000. This weekend a moderate buddy of mine took me to see F-911. I was so taken by what I saw that I can't in good conscience vote for W again. My buddy suggested DU for more information of Bush's crimes. He is not a member just a lurker, he's a bit shy. Now that I've signed up perhaps he will too. I don't know if I can vote for Kerry yet, perhaps what I have been told about him is lies I will have to figure that out for myself. But, I guarantee I will not vote for Bush ever again. For the most part I like what I have read here so far though some of the theories I don't know if I buy into but, I can see why people would lean that way. Anyway i will continue to lurk here and hopefully will have something of value to add.

But the more I know about him the more I like. A lot of what worried me was just spin and distortion.

Bottom line: he's a smart guy, he has a chance to get our prestige back internationally; I don't feel "safer" having the people of most nations including our historical allies hating & distrusting our government! Plus, he actually volunteered for combat duty in the war he supported, and he actually spoke out about the wrong he saw there. I can't imagine Bush doing either.

I really havent paid too much attention to what has been going on sure I heard people say that Bush was a liar but, kind of shrugged it off as politics as usual. But, from reading the varios posts here I can actually see why they go around saying that. Dare I say Bush makes Clinton look like a choir boy?

On a side note yes I am or should I say was a republican but, I have sided more with the left on some of the moral issues for example the SC
decision on sodomy I agreed with. I am not as pro choice as most of you folks are either I am ok with early abortions just not late term. I am ok with some social programs but, would prefer social programs with the intent of people making it on their own. With the exception of disabilities of course since some disabled people will never be able to do it for themselves.I am for lower taxes and a hell of a lot more accountability when it comes to government spending which to be honest both sides have kind of pissed me off on this.

I am glad you are here. Let me tell you about my best friend. He died from lung cancer in April. He was a republican from a family of republicans with patronage jobs for generations. He joined the Navy in the early 60s and did 4 tours of duty in Viet Nam. When he came back he protested the war and worked for the McGovern Campaign. He changed his registration to independent and in 1992 he voted for Perot. DO'H!
After that he changed his registration to democrat finally and voted for Clinton in 1996.
He hated Reagan and I am sure he is giving Ronnie Hell in the after life.
Because of war and the realities of life and because he could no long keep his eyes closed, he became a very loyal and determined Democrat. Stick around and get your eyes opened.

I was in the army in 92 and a lot of military voted for Perot. Bush 1 kind of pissed off a lot of the people who went to Saudi and Iraq.

I ask in all sincerity because I have a long-time friend that is a republican and I have begged him to take his party back from those that have currently hijacked it and it's agenda. We could always debate the differences of ideals and ways to go about acheiving the ideals of our respective parties, but not anymore. I understand the feeling of winning the Presidency and that as a party member you tend to deflect bad news since it feels like it is directed at you too. But at some point the reality of the situation has to become evident. Where is the fiscal responsibility? Why has the republican party so bereft of responsibility sold itself as the responsibility party? Where are the moderates on "your" side?

As for info about Kerry, take the time to visit his website if you haven't already. If you are a real republican, I ask that you take the time to visit Kerry's vote on the $87 billion for Iraq/Afghan that bush*s smear machine has been spinning into Kerry voting "against the troops". When you look at his vote, you will see fiscal responsibility in action. He voted against it because he wanted it paid for, what a concept huh? There was a bill that would have frozen some of bush*s tax cuts for the uber-wealthy to the tune of $87 billion, but no, bush*, delay and others wanted to spend YOUR grandchildren's money instead.

Kerry also VOLUNTEERED for service in Vietnam, and CHOSE swift boat duty. Kerry put up and bush* couldn't even bother to show up.

Glad to have you aboard. Please feel free to bring many more of your fellow republicans along, there's plenty of room.

come to my no vote for bush conclusion well it is kind of hard to pinpoint the exact thing but, things that pointed me that way was how he sat there when the second plane hit and he looked so clueless. The watch this drive clip all the vacation days a lot of the images just got me to thinking I don't really even want to remember some of the images much less mention them.

Well don't be discouraged if your friend doesn't change his mind a lot of my Repub friends saw it too and just told me it was a pack of lies. I suppose it also would depend on the reason why a person is a repub some people have a deep belief in it I was just a repub because it was how most of my military friends voted I actually did think that the GOP was more military friendly.

To be sure, some of the things you are going to see posted here are not for the feint of heart. Some of it will be VERY contrary to what you've probably believed all your life. We are, after all, lefties. ;-) I implore you, for the more way-out stuff you may see (esp., for example, about the Bush Family), not to automatically reject it out of hand. If you can't ACCEPT it, that's fine. But read the stuff, do some googling, make up your own mind.

Some of us have been here quite a while -- this site opened in Inauguration Day, 2001. I have been here not quite as long -- since there were 11-12,000 members. But a good many of us have been around the block, so to speak, done a LOT of research and thinking and discussing and speculating and trying to figure out what the truth is since our mainstream media will not tell us. So sometimes we know whereof we speak. Sometimes we speculate about what's happening, to fit previous patterns we've discovered, and DON'T have all the facts -- because they're not (yet) available. Lotta times our speculations are absolutely right on. Sometimes not. But you gotta say, we ARE Truth Seekers. I think for the most part we agree with Lincoln:

Also, we mostly hate George W. Bush but NOT for any other reason than for what he's done to this country. We are pretty rough on Republicans, too, especially Freepers (mindless idiots who post at a place called FreeRepublic.com). IOW: all our venom has been well-earned by its recipients, unlike the venom spewed against us.

Number two is a strong possibility, though. Most people don't go see documentaries. That film wasn't a traditional documentary though. I haven't seen that much enthusiasm for a movie since "Batman".

19. I took my father to view F911 this past Saturday

He is 75 yrs old and served during WWII and Korea. He loves this movie. He also believes this movie is what makes his service meaningful. The freedom to watch dissenting opinions is another reason why Bush needs to be defeated!
