| Grassroots report, Dean, nomination race, etc. |

I spent part of the day today manning a Dean table, passing out flyers and buttonholing passersby at the Huntington Beach pier in Southern California.
It was quite a reality check. I'd say about 99% of the people I approached or interacted with aren't the least bit interested in the nomination race, and as reported in the media, they don't even know who is running.
The typical response I got was, "Dean? Is he a Democrat?"

Plant an idea in someone's mind and let their gray matter take it from there. Keep up the good work. I have been working tables at fairs myself (for issues, not a candidate).
