. That is why the U.S. military can own anybody else anywhere.
2. Deficit spending got U.S. out of the depression in WW2, so it must be a good thing?
3. Yeah, I agree. Social security needs to be cut (if not abolished), taxes needs to be lowered (even more after Bush's taxes lowerings).
4. We are just as vunerable, that's why terrorism right now is pretty much halted in its tracks thanks to Bush.
5. Where you get your news from? Ignorance.
6. So if you used to be wrong, and you change your mind for the better, shouldn't that be a good thing? Regarding judges-appointment: that is the only way he can get tthe appoitned judges approved, so it's the liberals fault not Bush's. Abolishing government grants isn't as easy as you think. Cheney's daugther is not Cheney, nor Bush.
7. In a time of crises (terrorism), sacrifices must be made, which includes financially. What conservatives you talking about. All the conservatives I know support Bush.
People always see the bad, they never see the good. The majority of people sitting at home watching TV are oblivious to the very real fact that had Bush not been so powerful in crackign down terrorism, they'd probably be pushing daisys right now

The terrorism report that was fabricated - and then later correctly shown.
It proves Bush is a terror catalyst.

They had to redo the "mistaken" report. Apparently, terrorism is really at a 20 year high, not the low they were touting.

Deficit spending is somethimes necessay, and WWII is an example.
Individuals sometimes need to borrow money, it doesn't mean it's desirable for an individual to owe interest, or for a country to owe interest to other countries.

There weren't tax cuts for the rich in the 1940s.
The rich were heavily taxed under FDR.
And FDR said he didn't want any millionaire created from military spending, so the distribution of money/benefits from WWII spending was more even.

Yes, it can serve a purpose.
When economy is dying it is ok to borrow to get it back on track.
You do not create deficits by cutting taxes for rich.
You cut taxes to increase consumption by targeting those who will spend.
You increase, targeted spending, to improve consumption.
Depression recovery was by spending to increase jobs through CCC, WPA, etc.
WWII created deficits and debt but it was reduced after the war
Bush Tax Cuts for Rich spells long term trouble.
No significant stimulus in those tax cuts.
They were pay off to supporters.

I agree with that statement but what sacrifices are people making? I believe this is the first time in history we have cut taxes 2X during war time. Bush was telling everyone to "go shopping, go to the mall!" There isn't any sacrficing going on. Where is the sacrifice? I would like a conservative to answer that for me? (the only sacrifices are those dying AND the militiary who are fighting the war are getting vital friggin' programs cut. That's just beautiful, isn't it? Sacrifice their life, their income, their health benefits.)

| 9. deficit spent on middle, not top in ww2 |
|
2. spending on wages in expanded factories, and in expanded army, put money in the hands of the great middle class. They then used the money for decent amounts of food, shelter, healthcare, which lowered their worry, another health basic. This made them much more productive. ---- In contrast, Reaganism deficits come from borrowing from banks to give .. via taxcuts .. chunks of cash to the ultrarich. This does nothing to beef up the middle class. The money goes to 2 million dollar Kozlowski parties with vodka pouring from an opening in a statue. --24 years of these Reaganomic deficits, and wages are lower than when it began.. poverty is up 50%, mass homelessness and mass hunger have appeared. Schools thus have a lice plague, nail fungus plague, etc. as kids have no bathing facilities. Suffering skyrockets. { New bush budget plans to throw another 250,000 out to live on a piece of sidewalk.. cuts $1 Billion.} ---Keyensian deficit good, Reagan deficit bad. "FDR spent low on the food chain". great little quote from someone.

Why did God hide the WMD from *?
How come God doesn't make all judges be conservative?
How come neo-cons hate taxes but love big military budgets supported by taxes?
How come I am reading insane neo-con puking on DU?
