| 4. He does support gay marriage more fervently than Davis or Bustamante |
|
That is his one redeeming quality.

| 7. I take Coleman seriously; it's a generational thing |

people who were born around the post civil rights era all have an understand that racism is learned. We were raised with progressive values that we bought into and learned to be true, but the promise of equality has turned out to be lipservice and has all but evaporated under Bush the younger.
Coleman represents a return to those lost values. People who are my age understand.
Regan was a joke too and look where he got. I have a Mad magazine form the 60s spoofing Regan's Gubnatorial run. "The rum that would be Governor - Ron Reagun (Ron Rico spoof)"

I am disappointed with Coleman's nod to Ahnold, but I really do think that he would approach the job with a good deal of compassion and sense of justice.
He has had a great deal of difficulty in his life, even from within his own family. His own parents embezzled away most of the money he made from "Diff'rent Strokes".
I'm not saying he would be the best person for the job, but I give him credit where credit is due... and the full benefit of the doubt.
On edit: added M_B_F to subject
