Will Janklow's problems in SD assist Daschle in some perverse way ?

We know the Repubs plan on spending a lot of money against the Senate Minority Leader but will the Repub Representative's case of speeding, running a stop sign , and killing a motorcyclist diminish the criticism of Daschle in some small way? Will this help Daschle keep his seat? Or will it have any impact at all on their ad campaign against Tom Daschle?
