| I saw Sen. Byrd on CNN today with Wolf Blitzer... |
|
He was plugging his book, I forget the title...But he was talking about Bush tramples the Constitution and everything. Wolf was being real hard on him and shit, like "But when did he ignore the Constitution?" and everything. And Byrd was sorta fumbling with his responses. I wanted to yell at Wolf, be like, "Leave him alone, he's old!", but the Byrd sorta got to his response. And he got to it good.
People call CNN the liberal media, but like... they were being hard on Robert Byrd. They weren't just letting him plug his book, they were being hard on him. Now I'm not necessarily basing on Wolf, I think he was doing his job. But don't freepers always talk about CNN giving dems an easy ride and reporting on all the bad stuff B*** does? As supposedly God-fearing people, how can they consciously lie like this?

I love hearing him speak...He's a great orator
Unfortunately, everytime he makes a hard hitting speech the Hannity types comeup with: "How 'bout those Klan meetings 50 years ago, Bob ?"
Blitzer is a republican tool. It shouldn't be so easy to guess how a "newscaster" is going to vote in Nov.

I was so ticked off. Wolfe really tried to railroad him by using his fragile state against him. He didn't give him NEARLY enough time to answer questions which in turn made my favorite senator seem as if he didn't know what he was talking about. I know for a fact that he DOES know what he's talking about because when he gets behind a podium and starts talking he is unstoppable.
The worst part wasn't even the partisan slant, but the fact that Senator Byrd is very respected and the longest time senator we have. He deserves a whole heck of a lot more respect than he was given.

If you say it's true and you repeat it enough times, people will believe it's true and then it becomes the truth.
I have been writing CNN and other so-called journalistic sources for years calling them on their propaganda as news mantras. I am feeling all alone because it appears no one reads what I write.

"Losing America: Confronting a Reckless and Arrogant Presidency"
I just finished reading it. It's a very interesting book. It describes, in detail, how the Bush Administration has subverted the Constitution and eroded civil liberties, as well as the separation of powers - while Congress rolled over and played dead.
It's frustrating when you realize that he is one of the few people in Congress who truly believes in the Constitution and all it stands for. But it was also comforting to know that someone in Congress sees Bush for what he is.

Byrd obviously takes a while to think and speak (due to age). Kind of like picking on a 5 year old. Very dishonorable.
