"We are a nation in danger," Mr. Bush said as he announced his position during an appearance with top administration national security figures in the White House Rose Garden.

But, just a few weeks ago bush* said...not once, not twice, but seven times that "the American people are safer"

"We are a nation in danger" = "Looks like I'm going to lose the election in Novemeber"

"the American people are safer" = "My rich buddies have their tax cuts".

I think what bush meant to say was, "We are a nation in danger if Kerry gets elected."

I'm beginning to think most people believe the terror alerts are meant to scare you out of voting for Kerry and continue to back bush.

Someone needs to ask him what he means - are we safe or in danger?
