| 1. My only fear about the military vote is that so many ballots are absentee |
|
and seems possible the junta could sorta misplace some outbound military mail. Especially worried about possibility that some of the military mail might be in the hands of 'private contractors' these days. A lot of those private contractors have a big financial interest in who wins in November.
Anybody have any info about military mail service and absentee ballots which would diminish my fear that our brave military personnel might be disenfranchised by some sort of convenient mishap with mail delivery?

and their base mail is handled by the Base Support Battalion, I believe. At least I know it's not contracted out.
There are big "get out the vote" banners at base entrances. The military is really pushing the vote this year.
Allowances have been made among states to ensure that overseas/deployed military ballots are given enough time to arrive and be counted this time around.
