|
the information in the terror threat was THREE TO FIVE YEARS OLD! I just read the Washington Post story, which made me even more angry. I swear that tomorrow, when New Yorkers pick up their NYT edition off their doormats, they will be as ANGRY as I am tonight that all the "security" and jack-booted thugs installed in town was all based on OLD information!

Haven't seen that one yet. But I told hubby that what's being put up as "late breaking news" just doesn't add up.
Sorry, dude. I'd be watching the subways and buses. :(

If you're looking for a link on public transportation threats :tinfoilhat: it's JMHO. Al Queda wants to kill as many of as possible and 'targeting' the financial district(s), as reported, just doesn't make sense. Does it to you?
The "specific" threats cited have not allowed car/truck traffic near them in quite some time....BUT!!!! The preferred method (as reported) is car/truck bombs. Does this make sense?
No, the soft targets in this country to kill as many Americans as possible is the public transportation. Bush has not done anything to beef up security with these areas and just look at, oh say, ...Israel. Pretty effective method to live in an area for 2 months, 6 months, a year and ride the same train/bus day in and day out. Then, on Day/Month/Year, KABOOM! Now, take that one day in day out operative times ten or fifteen in ten or fifteen major cities and what do we have?

All of a sudden just send all the SWAT guys home tomorrow, call the whole thing off? Notice that they did this on a Sunday afternoon for minimum disruption and maximum exposure?

HOW THE HELL are the repubs going to have the balls to show up in NYC for their convention and expect a warm greeting? My G-d. What they have done is DISPICABLE! NYC has been through hell and back and those people use information that is 3-5 friggin' years old to put out an alert for nothing more than POLITICAL GAIN?? GEEZUS! Evil. Pure evil.

Item. Today's terra drill was based on info extracted from the laptop of the Al Queda guy in Pakistan.
Item. Based on the info, the terra warning went out and the color code was upgraded to orange, and all sorts of extra anti-terror shit goes on for the named locations.
Item. Didn't the Pakistanis claim to have apprehended this guy like three or four weeks ago?
Why wait until NOW to push the orange "terra" button? Why not three weeks ago? UNLESS THEY KNEW IT WAS OLD OUTDATED INFO.

How much you want to bet the "Modified Date" on the files they were looking at was back 3-4 years ago?
How much you want to bet it was something really obvious like this that any highschool student could have figured out?
Like the phony Iraq-Niger uranumium documents, where if anyone had done a google search, they could have noticed that the dates didn't match the terms of the officials who had "signed" them?

The chief of Pakistan's Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) agency was linked to a 911 hijacker and the ISI has been in bed with the CIA for years. ANYTHING coming out of Pakistan should be taken with a grain of skepticism.
