Actually I find any Rasmussen hard to believe after he missed the 2000 race by 9 POINTS.

A fighting chance in NC and VA. Bush may have to spend money in those states. A nice cushion in California, making it unlikely Kerry would have to spend cash in the expensive media markets over there. Mizzou is a swing state, but Kerry could win without it.

| 4. Looks like Kerry is well within the margin of error in most of the states |
|
And that's a good sign because remember, most of these polls only poll likely voters-they aren't counting new voters!

| 13. Bush* is slipping in NC. Down 2 more points. |

. I couldn't find the margin of error for the NC poll, but I'll keep looking.
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds President George W. Bush with a five point lead over Senator John F. Kerry, 50% to 45%. *That's down slightly from a seven-point lead a month ago.* The prior survey was completed in June, before Kerry named Edwards as his running mate.
Four years ago, Bush won North Carolina by a very comfortable 13-point margin, 56% to 43%. Two months ago, our poll found that Bush led Kerry by a mere four points.
