| What's the latest with Bush & the Illinois ballot? |
|
To review: the GOP Convention will nominate Bush after the deadline for major party candidates to qualify for the Illinois state ballot.
The Republicans ran into similar problems in many other states, but their legislatures promptly rewrote election laws to accomodate the GOP's schedule. But as of a couple months ago, Illinois was not one of those states (I think California was another).
Anyone have the latest on this? Is Bush STILL not going to be on the ballot in Illinois, or did the Democrats wuss out in the face of an attack on the rule of law?
