1. The next time Bush really muffs a speech

to the extent that nobody can possibly cover for him. My guess is that it may happen at or around the coronati..er convention.

They're trying to run out the clock on the Plame case indictments. I doubt we'll see those until after the election.

2. They don't plan to go OFF terra alert till after the election.

So another alert would do precisely what? Would they raise the color from orange? Raise it to orange in the whole country? This determination not to stand down until after November 2 may end up hurting.....unless Pakistan helps them blow something up.
