Two Clues this Terror Alert is as Bogus as this Presidency.........

First, Bush would not be dismissing/fighting the calls from Kerry and a number of Congressmen (both Dem and Repub) to call Congress into a special session to get these 9/11 committee recommendations into action. If they feared something might blow up, they would be darn sure to cover his ass on this. Any appearance of this little creep, who fought the Commission's existence in the first place, still not addressing the issue would be fatal to his "election" if an attack happened.

Second is a no brainer. After having the Statue of Libery closed down all these years because of the big, bad terrorists, the opening of it just after you elevate the terror alert for NYC, is just advertising that Bush is laughing in the American people's face and figuring they are too dumb to notice. That action should put Americans on "red" alert that this slimebucket is impacting our financial institutions, our oil prices, etc. just to get his pathetic, never amounted to anything, self back into the Oval Office. (Come on America, you fell for the Iraq crap; how many times are you going to demonstrate to the world that you are terminally stupid.?).

Well, tonight they had a segment on the PBS News Hour about how danged OLD this information really is. (about 3 years). How can they keep getting away with this??. Also their was a clip of Howard Dean questioning the timing of all this. You go Howard!

Everything about it is completely bogus. Front page pictures of solemn soldiers guarding Wall Street. What exactly are they guarding it from? What threat are they expecting and what would those soldiers do about it? If they really thought there was a threat, would they keep those streets and those building open? If they did, it would be criminal negligence.

Not only does Bushco know it is bogus, they know that everyone in NY and Washington who went to work today knows that it is bogus.

Still they have such belief in the power of fear that they are counting on it to keep some significant portion of the people from asking "If you are making us so safe, if you are doing such a great job on the War on Terror, why are we supposed to be more and more afraid every day?"

Fear-induced irrationality -- their only hope, the only way to keep Americans from asking the oh so obvious questions.
