I assume the guy you are referring to there is the one known as "Bull", right?
If so, trust me, he is totally wrong about just about everything he says. He posts a lot of things he calls "facts" and frankly 4:15 in the AM is no time to try to refute them all but here's his first paragraph that I read.
"I'm not a big fan of either candidate. I think this country has failed in many ways. I am however very educated when it comes to this. While Bush has been in office, he has created over 1.5 millions jobs in the last 7 months, interest rates are up (which means anyone with a saving account or any type of investments will benifit), in fact our economy is growing at it fastest rate in over 20 years, taxes have been reduced, the Taliban defeated, Saddam Hussein arrested and is awaiting trial, created Homeland Security, ratified the Patriot Act, expanded health care in many ways, has increased education spending by 40%, the majority of American's enjoy a slightly higher standard of living over the last 4 years despite the recession that Clintons tax hike created, is a major donator for HIV and AIDS research as well as stem cell research (which he seems to be against but goes ahead because the people call for it) etc etc etc,
Bush has lost jobs on his watch, the jobs created recently do not nearly make up for the tremendous number lost earlier on in his presidency. Nor are the jobs that have been created nearly as highly paid as those lost. Interest rates are extraordinarily low, lower than they were when he took office, though his argument about why high ones are good is pretty stupid. Sure, high interest rates are great for those collecting interest, but they are AWFUL for those who need to borrow. Like to open or expand a business (which creates jobs) or to anyone buying a home. Homeland Security was a Democratic plan which Bush resisted, it wasn't his idea. The Patriot Act is an assault on Americans civil rights, I don't know why anyone would be proud of it. Then he claims that Bush is a major donator to HIV and AIDS research, which is just bloody stupid. Bush could care less about AIDS funding, and in any case when a president appropriates funds he doesn't "donate" anything. Those are government funds.
In short, that guy is an idiot and I have no idea why I just wasted 5 minutes of my life refuting any of that. Perhaps to reassure you. I dunno.
